Flight Instruction

Flight Instruction
Personalized Training. Practical Experience.

Flight instruction is at the heart of DiDea Aviation. Brian provides personalized training built around each pilot’s experience, goals, and learning style, with an emphasis on developing safe, confident, and capable aviators rather than simply preparing students to pass a checkride.

Brian began instructing with Phoenix Area Flying Club, teaching Part 61 students and serving as a High Performance Instructor. He was later selected as one of three founding instructors at Infinity Flight Group in Fort Pierce, Florida, where he helped launch the American Airlines Cadet Academy’s Part 141 training program.

As the program grew, Brian developed and led Infinity’s CFI Academy, mentoring future flight instructors and preparing applicants for one of the most demanding practical tests in general aviation. He holds a Gold Seal Flight Instructor certificate and has maintained a 100% first-time pass rate across 16 CFI applicants.

Flight Training Services

DiDea Aviation offers individualized instruction for pilots at different stages of their aviation journey, from those beginning their training to certificated pilots looking to expand their skills, regain proficiency, or prepare for advanced flying.

Training services include private pilot training, instrument training, commercial pilot training, flight reviews, instrument proficiency checks, aircraft checkouts and transitions, high-performance training, cross-country instruction, proficiency training, and personalized ground instruction.

Instrument Training

Instrument flying requires more than learning procedures. Brian emphasizes aircraft control, situational awareness, weather decision-making, IFR planning, avionics management, approach procedures, and the judgment necessary to operate confidently in the instrument environment.

Training is available for pilots pursuing an Instrument Airplane rating as well as certificated instrument pilots seeking recurrent training or an Instrument Proficiency Check.

Commercial Pilot Training

For pilots working toward their Commercial Pilot certificate, instruction focuses on developing greater precision, aircraft mastery, judgment, and professional-level operating habits.

Training can include commercial maneuvers, cross-country operations, advanced aircraft control, aeronautical decision-making, oral preparation, and practical-test preparation.

CFI & Instructor Development

Instructor development is one of Brian’s primary areas of experience. Having developed and led a CFI Academy, he understands that becoming an instructor requires learning not only what to teach, but how to teach it effectively.

CFI preparation can include fundamentals of instruction, lesson development, teaching demonstrations, technical subject areas, endorsements, regulations, risk management, spin-awareness requirements, oral preparation, flight proficiency, and mock practical-test preparation.

Flight Reviews & Proficiency Training

Not every flight needs to be toward a new certificate or rating. DiDea Aviation works with certificated pilots who want to sharpen their skills, return to flying after time away, satisfy flight-review requirements, or simply become more confident in the airplane.

Training can be customized around the areas most valuable to you, including takeoffs and landings, emergency procedures, crosswind operations, navigation, airspace, radio communication, instrument procedures, or general aircraft handling.

Aircraft Checkouts & Transition Training

Pilots transitioning into an unfamiliar aircraft can receive structured familiarization covering aircraft systems, limitations, normal and emergency procedures, performance, weight and balance, ground operations, and flight characteristics.

For pilots interested in renting N8092W, aircraft-specific instruction and checkout training can also be incorporated into the rental qualification process.

Ground Instruction

Good flying begins with a strong understanding of what is happening before the airplane ever leaves the ground. As an Advanced Ground Instructor, Brian provides personalized ground instruction covering aerodynamics, aircraft systems, weather, navigation, regulations, performance, flight planning, risk management, and practical-test preparation.

Ground sessions can supplement flight training or be scheduled independently for pilots who want additional help with a particular subject.

Checkride Preparation

Preparing for a practical test should be about eliminating uncertainty and developing confidence in both knowledge and flying ability.

Brian provides focused checkride preparation incorporating oral review, scenario-based questioning, applicable ACS standards, maneuver refinement, mock checkrides, and identification of areas that need additional attention before meeting with an examiner.
