Aircraft Delivery

Purchasing an airplane doesn't always mean it's conveniently located nearby. DiDea Aviation can assist with transporting newly purchased aircraft from the seller or delivery location to the owner's home airport.

Each trip is planned around the aircraft's capabilities, weather, routing, fuel availability, airport suitability, and other operational considerations.

Aircraft Repositioning

Aircraft occasionally need to be moved even when the owner isn't available to make the flight personally.

Repositioning services can support aircraft moves between airports, seasonal relocations, changes in aircraft basing, storage needs, operational requirements, and other situations where a qualified pilot is needed to move the aircraft.

Maintenance Ferry Flights

DiDea Aviation can assist owners with repositioning aircraft to and from maintenance facilities when appropriate.

Whether the aircraft needs to reach a preferred mechanic, avionics shop, paint facility, interior shop, or another service provider, Brian can coordinate the flight around the owner's needs and the aircraft's current operating status.

Any flight involving an aircraft with known maintenance or airworthiness concerns is subject to applicable regulations, required authorizations, and an evaluation of whether the aircraft can be legally and safely operated.

Long-distance aircraft repositioning requires more than simply entering a destination into the GPS.

Brian approaches cross-country ferry operations with an emphasis on weather analysis, fuel planning, aircraft performance, airport selection, alternates, terrain, airspace, aircraft limitations, and contingency planning throughout the trip.

DiDea Aviation provides a more personal alternative to a high-volume aircraft ferry operation. Owners communicate directly with Brian regarding the aircraft, proposed route, scheduling, operational considerations, and delivery.

Before accepting a ferry flight, Brian reviews the aircraft type, maintenance and inspection status, available records and documentation, equipment, insurance requirements, and other information relevant to safely completing the trip.

Ferry Flight Planning

Aircraft Experience & Qualifications

Brian is an FAA Commercial Pilot with Airplane Single-Engine Land, Airplane Multiengine Land, and Instrument Airplane ratings, as well as a Gold Seal Flight Instructor and Instrument Flight Instructor.

His background as a professional flight instructor brings an additional level of familiarity with aircraft systems, operating procedures, risk management, cross-country planning, and aeronautical decision-making to each ferry assignment.

Acceptance of any particular aircraft is dependent upon Brian's experience in the aircraft, insurance requirements, operating limitations, and the circumstances of the proposed flight.
